Content Manager
About the role
We are launching a new affiliate business in the iGaming sector and are looking for a Content Manager to own and drive the content strategy of our affiliate website. Reporting to the Head of Affiliation and working closely with the SEO Manager, this role will define and execute a content roadmap that builds authority, drives traffic, and converts visitors into players.
The Content Manager will lead a team of writers (internal and freelance), ensuring content is high quality, SEO-optimized, engaging, and compliant with iGaming regulations. This role requires both creative vision and operational execution to scale content production in a competitive industry.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Planning
Define the overall content strategy for the affiliate website (reviews, guides, blogs, bonus pages, news).
Develop a content calendar aligned with SEO priorities, seasonal opportunities, and operator campaigns.
Ensure content supports business goals: traffic growth, engagement, and conversion.
Content Production & Management
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of writers (in-house and freelance).
Create content briefs and guidelines ensuring alignment with SEO requirements and brand voice.
Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and compliant with iGaming regulations.
SEO & Collaboration
Collaborate closely with the SEO Manager to optimize existing and new content.
Implement best practices for on-page SEO (headings, metadata, internal linking, E-E-A-T signals).
Monitor content performance and adjust strategy accordingly.
Quality & Compliance
Implement editorial standards and style guides for consistent tone and quality.
Ensure content complies with advertising and regulatory restrictions in different jurisdictions.
Promote responsible gambling messaging across all content.
Analytics & Reporting
Track content KPIs: rankings, traffic, engagement, and conversion.
Report performance and insights to the Head of Affiliation.
Continuously optimize based on data-driven insights.
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years in content management, with at least 2 years in iGaming, betting, finance, or similarly competitive industries.
Proven track record in building and scaling a content strategy that drives traffic and conversions.
Strong SEO knowledge: experience working closely with SEO teams to optimize content performance.
Editorial skills: excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Team leadership: experience managing content writers, freelancers, and creative contributors.
Analytical mindset: ability to use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush) to measure content performance.
Compliance awareness: familiarity with iGaming advertising restrictions and responsible gambling requirements.
Languages: Fluent in English (mandatory); Spanish or Portuguese is a plus (LatAm focus).
