About the role
This role will play a critical role in supporting a company in a phase of rapid growth and expansion, ensuring that people operations scale effectively while remaining fully aligned with labor law and regulatory requirements.
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, combining hands-on HR execution with strategic people partnering and deep expertise in labor law and compliance. You will ensure that all people-related decisions, policies, and processes evolve in line with business needs while maintaining strong legal and regulatory alignment.
This position will be responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle, advising leaders on complex people matters, and proactively identifying and mitigating labor and compliance risks. The ideal candidate is business-oriented, highly organized, and confident navigating complex employee relations, collective frameworks, and regulatory environments within a fast-moving organization.
You will work closely with managers, senior leadership, and external legal advisors to ensure that HR practices support sustainable growth, operational excellence, and full compliance, acting both as a strategic business partner and a guardian of best labor practices during the company’s expansion journey.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to business leaders, providing guidance on people strategy, organizational design, workforce planning, and change management in a fast-growing and evolving environment.
Ensure full compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements, staying up to date with legal changes and proactively translating them into practical HR policies, processes, and recommendations.
Manage and oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, employee development, promotions, exits, and disciplinary processes.
Advise and support managers on complex employee relations matters, including performance issues, conflicts, disciplinary actions, terminations, and sensitive cases, ensuring fair treatment and legal alignment.
Identify, assess, and mitigate labor and compliance risks, working closely with external legal advisors when needed to ensure sound decision-making.
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and internal controls, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance as the company grows.
Partner with leadership to support organizational growth and expansion, including new roles, new teams, and potential geographic expansion, ensuring HR frameworks are fit for scale.
Support managers in building a high-performing, engaged, and positive work environment, balancing business needs with employee experience.
Act as a point of reference for labor law interpretation and best practices, providing training and guidance to managers on people management and compliance-related topics.
Collaborate with People Operations, Talent, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between people strategy, operational execution, and legal requirements.
Own and develop HR data, reporting, and people metrics to track the impact of HR initiatives, employee lifecycle management, and compliance-related actions.
Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting to leadership on key people indicators such as headcount, attrition, absenteeism, performance trends, employee relations cases, and labor risk exposure.
Use people data to support decision-making, identify trends, anticipate risks, and propose data-driven recommendations aligned with business objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Psychology, Law, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in a combination of HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or Employee Relations roles.
Strong knowledge of labor law and employment regulations; legal or labor law background is highly preferred.
Proven experience advising managers and leadership on people-related and organizational matters.
Experience handling employee relations, disciplinary processes, and terminations.
Ability to balance business needs with legal compliance and employee well-being.
Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
High level of discretion, integrity, and professional judgment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
